How Do I Update My Address in Dayforce?

If you have recently moved or need to update your personal address, you can make this change directly in Dayforce. Keeping your address current helps ensure accurate records, tax reporting, and delivery of important communications.

 

Steps to Change Your Address in Dayforce:

  1. Log in to Dayforce
  2. Access Your Personal Information
    • Select Profile from the main menu (☰ icon).

    • Click the Forms tab within your Profile.

    • Under the Personal section, select Address.

  3. End Date Your Current Address
    • Before entering a new address, you must end-date your existing address to preserve accurate historical records.

    • Locate your current address.

    • Scroll to the right and enter an End Date (typically the last day you lived at that address).

    • Save your changes.

  4. Add Your New Address
    • Select Add.

    • Enter your new address details (street, city, state, ZIP code, etc.).

    • Set the Start Date as the day immediately following the end date of your previous address.

    • Submit your changes.

    • Your new address will now be active in the system.

 

Why Entering the Correct Dates Matters

  • Dayforce requires that team members have a valid address entered into the system for their full employment with no date gaps. It is imperative to set the start date for the new address as the date immediately following the end date of your old address to ensure there are no gaps in your records.
  • End-dating the old address ensures that your historical records remain accurate. This way, the system knows when the address change took place, and your past records won’t be confused with your new address.
  • Start-dating your new address is just as important to ensure that it’s recognized as your current address, starting from the correct date.
