Quick Answer

If you believe you may need a workplace accommodation, contact Human Resources to begin the interactive accommodation process.

What Is a Reasonable Accommodation?

A reasonable accommodation is a modification or adjustment to the work environment or job duties that allows an individual with a verified disability to perform the essential functions of their job, unless doing so would create an undue hardship for the Company.

Accommodations may include, but are not limited to:

  • Adjustments to work schedules

  • Modifications to job duties or equipment

  • Workplace accessibility adjustments

  • A leave of absence, where appropriate

  • Other individualized accommodations based on specific needs

Each request is evaluated on a case-by-case basis and must be considered reasonable.

How to Request a Workplace Accommodation

  1. Contact Human Resources
  2. Begin the Interactive Process
    • HR will work with you to understand your needs, review any relevant information, and discuss potential accommodation options.
  3. Provide Supporting Information if Requested
    • In some cases, HR may request documentation to help evaluate the accommodation request.
  4. Accommodation Review and Determination
    • HR will assess whether a reasonable accommodation can be provided without causing undue hardship and will communicate next steps.

Important Things to Know

  • You do not need to use specific legal language to request an accommodation.

  • Accommodation requests are reviewed individually based on job requirements and circumstances.

  • Not all requests can be granted, but HR will work with you to explore reasonable options when possible.
