Quick Answer
New hires have a short list of tasks to complete in Dayforce during their first couple of days. Completing these on time avoids delays to your pay, benefits enrollment window, and system access.
Your Onboarding Checklist
-
Complete your I-9 (must be completed before you are permitted to complete any work duties, tasks, or responsibilities)
-
Complete all onboarding forms (W-4 and state tax elections, direct deposit, contact information, emergency contacts, etc.)
-
Review & Sign policy documents
-
Enroll in benefits, if elections are already clearly known
The hiring manager also has a seperate orientation checklist they must complete to ensure onboarding and orientation is consistently and completely done for every new hire.
What if I See “Past Due Tasks” in Dayforce?
A past-due onboarding task usually means the required task, form, or policy document wasn't submitted by the deadline, or a hiring manager step wasn't completed. Contact your Store Manager or Director first; if the task still can't be resolved, submit a ticket through HappyFox.
