How Do I Request a 401(k) Loan or Withdrawal?

Quick Answer

401(k) loan requests are made directly through Voya Financial, not through Dayforce or HR.

 

How to Request a 401(k) Loan

  1. Log in to www.voyaretirementplans.com.

  2. Navigate to the Accounts page.

  3. Select Loans & Withdrawals under the Take Action on Your Account section of the Accounts page.

  4. Select the type of request you'd like to make: Request a Loan or Request a Withdrawal.

  5. Complete the required request steps.

  6. Review loan eligibility, limits, repayment terms, and fees.

  7. Submit your request through the Voya portal.

Important Information

  • Loan availability and terms are governed by the plan and IRS rules.

  • Loan repayments are typically deducted automatically from your paycheck.

  • Loans may impact your retirement savings and long-term growth.
